For a variety of reasons, I haven’t felt very scrappy. I am getting in the mood though with the September contests going on over at Just Scrappin

I am super excited because I ordered a cookbook (autographed!) from Southern Plate. Christy Johnson was nice enough to autograph this gift for my husband. All week long she is featuring apple recipes. YUM! I submitted my all-time favorite: Raw Apple Cake with Whiskey Frosting for a chance to win one of her cookbooks (another one would always make a great gift!)

my mini album

As mentioned, this has been posted on the Just Scrappin website, and I will also attempt posting here because it is just so fun! Most of the materials used were from one of Kellys Kits at Keep In Touch. Links for both ladies are on the left. Definitely worth checking out.

This mini album was designed for my daughter to add a few more pictures to and some journaling about her recent trip to New York City. These are great to toss in your purse and share with a friend or two over coffee.

It wasn’t really a scrappy day. I did some sorting and cleaning in my scraproom but nothing clever. Gumby (my husband) started his bowling league tonight. It seems like it just ended. The feeling of the autumn is just around the corner. I managed to do a little blogsurfing at some of my favorite and some new crafty places.

so many nifty giveaways it feels like Christmas

So, in my completely uneducated state of blog building, I made some changes in the “dashboard”. Good Lord whatever that is. You knever know until you try—just put your hands in it and get dirty!!

a productive but unproductive day

sorting and rearranging. Thats what my day consisted of. I rec’d two boxes of happy mail and of course I need to find a place to put them. Some I will RAK soon. Leave me a message if you sew and would like some free patterns, if you cross stitch, etc.

Now this was enough to actually get m to sit down and write something on my blog—which I know nothing about.
